Perfumer's Retreat

Designed for a young perfumer, this bedroom is a sanctuary merging functionality with colonial charm. This project’s scope was to renovate the son’s room and daughter's bedroom. Being a capoeira artist, the son wanted to have a space to practise his art.

 

The son’s bedroom features a four post bed, capoeira practice studio alongside a tatami seating tea nook and an inviting outdoor space. Departing from traditional layouts, we prioritised form over function, by abstaining from the typical Bed-TV orientation where the TV is usually facing the bed.

 

The room offers a unique blend of practicality and elegance, tailored to inspire creativity and relaxation for the modern perfumer. A black textured wall sets a dramatic backdrop, complemented by various wood tones and added a light canopy to create a nice light and shadow play around the bed
